Therapy is going to fall flat unless there’s real, genuine trust between you and your therapist.

Even if a therapist is at the top of their field with countless acronyms trailing their name, or they have unrivaled charisma with thousands of social media followers, that doesn’t mean anything if they’re not a good fit for you.

They might be pleasant and agreeable, but they never really challenge you. They might try to give everything a positive spin, when all you want is someone who will actually see the absolute shit you're going through. Or they might be too passive and non-directive. Those constant, vague nods are getting old real fast.

No therapist is able to help everyone and our therapists don’t try to. Instead, we focus on the people and challenges we know deeply, using expertise that’s been honed through years of training and real experience as real humans (New Yorkers, to be precise).
