I’m a therapist who’s passionate about guiding high-achieving young adults through the complexities of life's big transitions. If you’ve always been someone who has it together, the friend everyone goes to for advice, or the family member expected to handle their shit, then you’re intimately familiar with the unique exhaustion that comes from constantly trying to meet the high expectations of others.
You’re the one who’s supposed to have all the answers, but who’s there to help when you don’t? It’s okay if you need support to figure out what's next.
During our sessions, we’ll dive deep to uncover the hidden patterns holding you back and help you gain clarity about who you are and where you're headed. We’ll work to understand the thoughts and feelings you may be unaware of while also breaking down complex issues in your relationships.
My approach is warm, curious, and relational because when you're sorting through the vulnerable, messy parts of yourself, you need to know there's someone present in your corner, attentive to you. I often use mindfulness techniques and practical problem-solving strategies to help you identify your thought patterns and explore what’s necessary to achieve your goals.
I work particularly well with young men and teenagers in those transitional stages of life or those grappling with the pressures of maintaining professional/academic excellence, managing career uncertainties, and navigating evolving relationships. You may notice these challenges when you’ve successfully reached a goal or milestone, yet something still feels…off. Maybe there’s a deeper, more subtle feeling of dread that you can’t seem to shake. You might feel isolated and overwhelmed, even when surrounded by friends. You might be asking yourself, “now what?”
Maybe you’ve just graduated and find yourself struggling with the messy reality of trying to gain your footing in a new job or city. You might notice yourself feeling unmotivated and listless at work or school, wondering why you’re already feeling burnt out.
Whether you’re wrestling with anxiety, relationship struggles, identity questions, or the feeling that you should have everything figured out by now, but don’t, therapy provides a space for you to explore and get help in understanding your situation. You don’t have to perform or explain. You get to be your true self, and we can make sense of it together.
With a background in college mental health counseling and residential programs, I’ve helped clients from diverse backgrounds tackle everything from self-doubt and anxiety to complex relationship/family dynamics. If you're ready to stop feeling stuck and start moving forward, schedule a free consultation to see if we're a good fit. You don’t have to figure it out alone anymore.
Get to Know Andrew
I love to get exercise. Whether it is walking my dog, training for my next marathon, doing pilates or playing soccer, moving my body is my favorite way to melt the stress away!
What do you do to de-stress?
Over the past few years, I have gotten into making my own espresso. Drawing my own espresso shot as part of my morning routine makes me feel grounded and ready to start my day strong.
What’s a small, random thing that instantly makes you feel safe or at home?
I love my Garmin smartwatch for tracking my exercise! I think everyone could benefit from a Garmin watch.
If you had to be a spokesperson for a completely random brand or product, what would it be?
Andrew might serve me the same bland food everyday, but he also serves up a great time! From relaxing on his couch together to going on long walks by the water, Andrew always makes sure I am taken care of and happy. As a rescue, I did not have the best life before meeting Andrew; however, I have been a pampered pup for the last 6 years thanks to him. 5 out of 5 stars!
Your pet (or an imaginary pet) just wrote a Yelp review about you. What does it say?
