How to Get Started

Use our online scheduler to find a time that works for you. We’ll discuss what you want to work on and if our schedules line up going forward.

Match with the right therapist

If either of us feels like we're not the right fit, we'll help point you in a better direction.

Start building something better

If it clicks, we’ll set up your first full session and begin working together on whatever’s weighing you down.

The first session is about you, not a checklist.

What Happens in Therapy?

We’ll start by getting to know you—what’s going on in your world, what’s felt hard, and what you’re hoping will feel different. You don’t have to bring answers. Just show up and be honest.

You set the pace, we guide the process.

Your therapist won’t just nod silently and ask, “And how does that make you feel?” (Unless that’s what works for you.) We’re here to ask better questions, reflect back the things you’re missing, and offer real tools—not just “talk.”

It’s not one-size-fits-all.

We tailor therapy to your goals, challenges, and personality. Whether you’re navigating a major life transition, trying to stop people-pleasing, or figuring out how to actually enjoy your success, we’re here for it.

Do you take insurance?

Our therapists are out-of-network providers, which means we do not work directly with any insurance panels. However, we may be able to help you get reimbursed by your insurance through your plan's out-of-network benefits. Many of our clients receive reimbursement rates between 60% to 80% of each session after meeting their deductible.

If you’re interested in how to use your out-of-network benefits, we’ve outlined the step-by-step process on our Insurance and Billing page.

What are your rates?

Individual psychotherapy sessions are between $150 - $215, depending on the experience and specialties of the therapist you work with.

Can I do therapy online?

Yes. We offer virtual therapy for anyone in New York State, and in-person sessions at our office in NYC if you’d rather talk face-to-face (in a space that doesn’t feel like a doctor’s office).

Do I need to know what to say?

Not at all. It’s our job to help you figure that out. You don’t need a perfectly rehearsed story—just curiosity and willingness to show up.

Do I need to know what to say?

Is there any preparation I need to do before going to therapy for the first time?

The most helpful thing you can do to prepare is to start getting curious.
Ask yourself: What feels off right now? Where do I keep getting stuck? What patterns am I tired of repeating? And don’t stress if you don’t have the answers. That’s literally what therapy is for.

Is there any preparation I need to do before going to therapy for the first time?

Not Sure Yet?

That’s totally fine. Poke around the site. Read more about our therapists. Or just sit with it for a bit. If and when you’re ready, we’ll be here.
